I my finishing your book “The Strangler”. I was gripped by “Defending Jacob” and admire the writing in “Mission Flats”
I found a nit in “The Strangler” on page 464 you have “Ricky ws the kid who stole quarters Michael collected to send to the pagan babies in Biafra. There are two problems with this: 1. Biafra was mainly Catholic and 2. it only existed as a country between June 1967 and January 1970. Not a time when either of them would have be saving money for pagan babies. I know this because a Biafran student of mine asked me why they cut the legs off the boys in her village and she were made to watch.
I am learning to write and you are a master.
Oh my, that is an error, isn’t it? I may have to move those pagan babies. (Was the term “Biafra” in use before the short-lived country? I honestly don’t know.)
